Quickly Reduce Game Lag and Ping!

Boost FPS for Smoother Gameplay!

If WARDOGS not working, first check at which stage the game stops.

WARDOGS depends on several separate systems:

Steam → Easy Anti-Cheat → WARDOGS login → server browser → game server → voice services

A game that crashes after Easy Anti-Cheat requires a completely different solution from a situation where the server list opens but you cannot join a match.

Use the symptoms below to quickly find the right solution.

Fix 1: WARDOGS Login Not Working or Can't Connect — Use LagoFast

Use LagoFast first if:

  • WARDOGS opens normally;
  • you reach the login screen;
  • other players can enter the game;
  • but your authentication times out;
  • Logging In never completes;
  • the connection to the server keeps failing;

WARDOGS Not Working

  • or you get disconnected shortly after joining a match.

How to Use LagoFast for WARDOGS

1. Close WARDOGS.

2. Completely exit Steam, including the Steam icon in the system tray.

3. Open LagoFast.

Free Trial

4. Find WARDOGS.

WARDOGS Login Not Working

5. Select a recommended node near the WARDOGS server region you want to connect to.

WARDOGS Server Not Working

6. Click Boost.

7. Keep LagoFast running.

8. Open Steam again.

9. Launch WARDOGS.

10. Try logging in or connecting to the server again.

If the first node does not help, close both WARDOGS and Steam before switching to another node.

LagoFast can optimize the route between your PC and WARDOGS online services. This is useful when a normal connection cannot reliably complete authentication or maintain a stable route to the selected game server.

It cannot:

  • bring an offline server back online;
  • remove an actual login queue;
  • create additional server capacity;
  • restore access to a restricted Steam account;
  • fix a game that crashes before reaching online services.

Use this rule:

Other players can log in, but you cannot → Try another route through LagoFast.

Everyone is getting the same login error → Wait for WARDOGS authentication or game servers to recover.

WARDOGS Login Not Working

The login problem occurs before you reach the server browser.

You may see:

  • endless Logging In
  • Connecting to Online Services
  • Failed to Authenticate
  • Failed to Initialize Player Session
  • Access Denied
  • WARDOGS error 1147405308
  • WARDOGS error 1147405309
  • WARDOGS error 1628505085

Do not immediately verify the files or reinstall the entire game. First determine whether the problem only affects you or a large number of players.

WARDOGS Stuck on Logging In

If the login screen does not change for several minutes while other players can enter:

  1. Close WARDOGS.
  2. Completely exit Steam.
  3. Open Task Manager.
  4. End any remaining WARDOGS or Steam processes.
  5. Launch LagoFast and enable acceleration for WARDOGS.
  6. Open Steam again.
  7. Make sure you are logged into the account that owns WARDOGS.
  8. Launch the game again.

This forces Steam and WARDOGS to create a new authentication session instead of continuing to use the one that has stopped responding.

Do not return to the menu or press Login repeatedly. If the current session has already expired, repeated requests will usually continue using the same failed state.

WARDOGS Error 1147405308

Players have encountered WARDOGS error 1147405308 together with an online authentication error, including situations where many users received the same error after waiting in the login queue.

Use the overall situation to determine what to do.

Many Players Get WARDOGS Error 1147405308 at the Same Time

This indicates a WARDOGS authentication problem.

You do not need to:

  • reinstall Windows;
  • delete Steam account data;
  • repeatedly verify the game;
  • constantly leave and re-enter the queue.

Wait for the login service to recover, then restart Steam before connecting again.

Only You Are Getting WARDOGS Error 1147405308

Try:

  1. Close WARDOGS and Steam.
  2. Launch LagoFast.
  3. Select another WARDOGS node.
  4. Open Steam again.
  5. Make sure Steam shows WARDOGS as a purchased game.
  6. Launch the game and request a new login session.

If the error persists while other players can log in normally, verify the game files after testing another connection route.

WARDOGS Error 1147405309 / Access Denied

WARDOGS error 1147405309 has appeared together with the Access Denied message. The code itself does not indicate whether the problem is related to Steam game ownership, an unavailable login session, or a broader authentication problem.

Check the following:

  1. Are you logged into the Steam account that purchased WARDOGS?
  2. Does the main WARDOGS game appear as purchased in your Steam Library?
  3. Has Steam finished all launch-day updates?
  4. Are other players also reporting the same Access Denied message?
  5. Does restarting Steam refresh your access to the game?

If everyone is getting Access Denied at the same time, do not create a new Steam account. Wait for WARDOGS authentication to recover.

WARDOGS Can't Connect to Server

If the error only occurs on your account, completely restart Steam and confirm game ownership before changing local game files.

WARDOGS Error 1628505085

WARDOGS error 1628505085 appears with the message:

Failed to initialise player session with online services

Players have reported receiving it when returning to the menu or when WARDOGS cannot create a new online session.

Try the following:

  1. Close WARDOGS.
  2. Completely exit Steam.
  3. Wait a little for the previous session to close.
  4. Launch LagoFast.
  5. Open Steam again.
  6. Launch WARDOGS.
  7. Allow the game to create a completely new session.

If many players receive the code at the same time, the player-session service is probably unavailable. Reinstalling WARDOGS will not restore a server-side session service.

WARDOGS Can't Connect to Server

This problem starts after you have successfully logged in.

You may be able to open the menu or server browser, but:

  • servers are not showing;
  • the connection gets stuck;
  • the connection times out;
  • you are returned to the browser;
  • all displayed servers are full;
  • or the game disconnects after joining.

WARDOGS Server Browser Empty / WARDOGS Servers Not Showing

Select only one server region.

BULKHEAD directly advised players to select only one region because selecting multiple regions could leave the server browser completely empty.

How to Fix an Empty Server Browser

  1. Open the server browser.
  2. Open the region filter.
  3. Deselect all regions.
  4. Select only one region.
  5. Refresh the browser.
  6. Wait for the server list to load.
  7. If necessary, test another single region.

Do not select every region in an attempt to show more servers. In WARDOGS, this can result in no servers being displayed at all.

Servers Are Showing, but They Are All Full

A full server means:

  • Steam login worked;
  • WARDOGS authentication worked;
  • the server browser is working;
  • there are no available match slots on the selected server.

Do not reinstall WARDOGS.

Instead:

  1. Refresh the server browser.
  2. Find another server in the same region.
  3. Try another nearby region if the latency is acceptable.
  4. Wait for an active match to finish and slots to become available.

LagoFast cannot create an available slot on a server or bypass a WARDOGS server full restriction.

WARDOGS Server Is Showing, but the Connection Times Out

Proceed in this order:

  1. Close WARDOGS.
  2. Exit Steam.
  3. Open LagoFast.
  4. Select a node near the selected WARDOGS region.
  5. Open Steam again.
  6. Launch WARDOGS.
  7. Select only one region.
  8. Connect to a server that has available slots.

If the connection still fails, first test another server before changing the game files.

You Cannot Join Only One Server

That specific match server may be restarting, full, or no longer accepting connections.

Try another server in the same region.

You Cannot Join Any Server, but Other Players Can

Try another LagoFast node and restart the entire Steam session.

Nobody Can Join at All

Wait for the WARDOGS server service to recover. Changing graphics settings will not fix a broken match server.

WARDOGS Keeps Disconnecting You From Every Match

First determine whether the match itself has failed.

Only You Are Getting Disconnected

Keep the same route active throughout the entire session:

  1. Close WARDOGS.
  2. Select a LagoFast node.
  3. Restart Steam.
  4. Launch the game.
  5. Connect to a server in the corresponding region.
  6. Do not change nodes, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or your mobile hotspot while playing.

Changing the route after joining the server breaks the current connection and may return you to the server browser.

Many Players Are Disconnected at the Same Time

The match server has probably stopped responding or has been restarted.

Return to the browser, select one region, and join another server. You do not need to repair Easy Anti-Cheat because of a mass server-side disconnect.

WARDOGS Not Launching After Changing Audio Settings

Some players can launch WARDOGS but then become stuck on the initial speaker and microphone setup screen.

Typical symptoms include:

  • the Continue button is not visible;
  • the bottom part of the interface is cut off;
  • the page cannot be scrolled;
  • audio devices can be selected, but you cannot continue;
  • the same setup screen appears again after restarting.

Quick Check: Click the Bottom Center of the Screen

Move the cursor to the lower-center area.

If part of the Continue button is still visible, click it and check whether WARDOGS moves to the menu.

If the button is completely missing, use the configuration fix.

How to Fix the Missing Continue Button

1. Close WARDOGS.

2. Press Win + R.

3. Enter:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Wardogs\Saved\Config\WindowsClient

4. Open:

GameUserSettings.ini

5. Press Ctrl + F.

6. Find:

Language=

7. Change the line to:

Language=en

8. Save the file.

9. Launch WARDOGS again.

10. Complete the speaker and microphone setup.

11. After reaching the menu, change the language back in the game settings.

12. Do not immediately delete the entire configuration folder. Changing only one line preserves the rest of your settings.

WARDOGS No Sound After Changing the Output Device

WARDOGS may fail to switch correctly between audio devices if the game is already running.

Try:

  1. Close WARDOGS.
  2. Open Windows sound settings.
  3. Set your headphones or speakers as the default output device.
  4. Set your microphone as the default input device.
  5. Temporarily disable or deactivate unused audio devices.
  6. Restart WARDOGS.
  7. Select the same devices in the game settings.

If you use multiple outputs, such as speakers, USB headphones, HDMI audio, and a separate sound card, simplify the list of available devices before launching the game.

WARDOGS Voice Chat Not Working

WARDOGS has proximity voice communication, but players have encountered situations where:

  • the microphone test works;
  • nobody can hear you in a match;
  • local voice suddenly disappears;
  • the voice icon shows a line or muted status;
  • you cannot hear other players.

BULKHEAD acknowledged possible issues with a third-party voice-service provider and recommended resetting the voice-chat state inside the game.

How to Restore Voice Chat

Try the settings method:

  1. Open Settings in WARDOGS.
  2. Disable Voice Chat.
  3. Apply the change.
  4. Enable Voice Chat again.
  5. Return to the match.

Or use the scoreboard method:

  1. Open the scoreboard.
  2. Press U once.
  3. Press U again.
  4. Check voice chat.

Also make sure WARDOGS is using the correct microphone rather than an unused Windows default input device.

If WARDOGS voice chat not working affects many players at the same time, reinstalling the audio driver is unlikely to help. Use another communication method until the voice service is restored.

WARDOGS Not Launching After Easy Anti-Cheat

Use this section if:

  • Steam shows that the game is running and then stops it;
  • Easy Anti-Cheat appears, but WARDOGS does not open;
  • the crash reporter opens immediately;
  • the game closes before the menu;
  • shader compilation starts and then the game crashes.

Fix 1: Disable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling

Players who experienced crashes after Easy Anti-Cheat or during shader compilation reported that disabling Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling, followed by a complete restart, allowed them to launch WARDOGS.

1. Open Windows Settings.

2. Go to System → Display → Graphics.

3. Open Default graphics settings.

4. Disable:

Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling

5. Restart Windows.

6. Launch WARDOGS through Steam.

A restart is required. This Windows setting is not fully applied until the PC has been restarted.

Fix 2: Rebuild Easy Anti-Cheat

Use this if WARDOGS closes immediately after the EAC window.

  1. Open Steam.
  2. Right-click WARDOGS.
  3. Select Manage → Browse local files.
  4. Find the Easy Anti-Cheat folder.
  5. Delete the local EAC files.
  6. Restart Windows.
  7. Return to Steam.
  8. Open WARDOGS → Properties → Installed Files.
  9. Click Verify integrity of game files.
  10. Wait for Steam to restore Easy Anti-Cheat.
  11. Launch WARDOGS normally through Steam.

Players with the same launch scenario reported success after rebuilding EAC and verifying the game.

Do not launch the WARDOGS executable directly. Steam and Easy Anti-Cheat need to initialize together.

Fix 3: Repair Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime

If Steam briefly shows WARDOGS as running but the game never opens, repair both versions:

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributable x64
  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributable x86

Afterward, restart Windows.

One player who could not launch WARDOGS reported being able to enter the game after updating the Visual C++ runtime, disabling HAGS, and restarting.

Fix 4: Disable Overlays and Monitoring Tools

Temporarily close:

  • MSI Afterburner
  • RivaTuner Statistics Server
  • Discord Overlay
  • NVIDIA Overlay
  • AMD Overlay
  • other software that injects an overlay into the game

Then launch WARDOGS again.

If the game launches, enable these programs one at a time to identify the conflict.

WARDOGS Crashing While Compiling Shaders

A crash during shader compilation happens before the game connects to online services. Do not use server or login fixes for this problem.

Try the following order:

  1. Disable HAGS.
  2. Restart Windows.
  3. Verify WARDOGS files.
  4. Disable overlays.
  5. Update your graphics driver.
  6. Launch WARDOGS.
  7. Allow shader compilation to finish without constantly switching between applications.

Players have also reported crashes during shader compilation and recommended clearing the shader cache, disabling overlays, and rebuilding Easy Anti-Cheat if verifying the files alone does not help.

WARDOGS Restarts the Entire PC

A complete system restart or blue screen is not a normal game crash.

Stop repeatedly launching WARDOGS and check:

  • Windows Event Viewer;
  • GPU and CPU temperatures;
  • graphics card and motherboard drivers;
  • Easy Anti-Cheat installation;
  • overclocking or undervolting;
  • low-level monitoring, RGB, or fan-control software.

Temporarily return CPU, GPU, and RAM settings to their default values during testing.

Do not start by removing Windows security updates. First check safer options: EAC, HAGS, drivers, overlays, and hardware stability.

WARDOGS Stuck in Queue

If the queue is moving, it means your connection has already reached the WARDOGS login system.

Do not restart the game simply because the queue is long. Restarting may cost you your current position.

Stay connected unless:

  • your queue number does not change for a long time;
  • an explicit authentication error appears;
  • WARDOGS says players need to reconnect;
  • other players confirm that the queue has already recovered while yours remains stuck.

If an error appears at the end of the queue, first check whether other players are receiving the same code, and only then change local files.

WARDOGS Server Browser Empty

When Should You Verify WARDOGS Files?

Verify the files if:

  • WARDOGS crashes before the menu;
  • an update was interrupted;
  • Easy Anti-Cheat files are missing;
  • the game behaves differently from other players on the same servers;
  • shader compilation repeatedly crashes;
  • Steam briefly launches the game and immediately stops it.

In Steam:

  1. Right-click WARDOGS.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Open Installed Files.
  4. Click Verify integrity of game files.
  5. Restart Steam after the repair is complete.

Do not verify the files just because:

  • the server is full;
  • you are in a working queue;
  • nobody can log in;
  • one match server has stopped responding;
  • voice chat is unavailable for everyone.

These are online-service problems, not damaged game files.

The Fastest Solution to Your WARDOGS Problem

Stuck on Logging In while other players can enter → Launch LagoFast before Steam and create a new login session.

WARDOGS error 1147405308 affects many players → Wait for the authentication services to recover.

WARDOGS error 1147405308 only affects you → LagoFast → restart Steam → verify files if necessary.

WARDOGS error 1147405309 / Access Denied → Confirm game ownership in Steam and refresh your Steam session.

WARDOGS error 1628505085 → Close Steam and WARDOGS, then create a new online session.

WARDOGS server browser empty / WARDOGS servers not showing → Select only one server region.

WARDOGS can't connect to server / WARDOGS server connection timeout → Use LagoFast and try another available server.

WARDOGS server full → Wait for an available slot or try another nearby region.

Stuck after selecting speakers and microphone → Change Language=en in GameUserSettings.ini.

WARDOGS voice chat not working → Toggle voice chat or press U twice.

WARDOGS closes after Easy Anti-Cheat → Disable HAGS, restart Windows, and rebuild EAC.

WARDOGS crashing while compiling shaders → Disable HAGS, verify the files, and close overlays.

The most important step is to identify where WARDOGS is failing: before launch, during authentication, in the server browser, or when connecting to a match. Choose the fix for that specific stage instead of reinstalling the entire game every time a problem occurs.
