This mod replaces the expedition menu with a selection of freeplay options, letting you warp straight to the fights with each Nightlord, as well as explore the overworld and remembrance maps at your leisure.
To the best of my knowledge it should have no permanent effect on your save file or game progress, so you can install or uninstall it at any point; however, I highly recommend backing up your save or using a separate file for any modded play to avoid the risk of being banned.

Installation

At time of writing UXM hasn't been updated for a while, so many fights won't work properly with it. Installation with me3 is required for the mod to work properly; these instructions will cover installation with the included me3 profile.

0. Optional, but recommended: back up your save!
On Windows, you can find your save file at:
        C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Nightreign\<steamid>\NR0000.sl2
You may also wish to enable me3's savefile configuration to use a completely separate save file.

1. Install me3 (if you don't have it already)
    You can find download links and instructions for me3 here:
        https://me3.help/

2. Run FreeReign.me3 to launch the game
    Make sure Steam is already running so me3 can detect it properly

Usage

Once ingame, interact with the Roundtable to access the new freeplay menu; selecting Expedition will open the standard expedition menu instead. Defeating a Nightlord will take you back to Roundtable Hold, but if you need to return at any time, quitting to title and loading back in will do so.

The sparring menu is fully accessible during freeplay, so you can alter your level, enable quick regen, switch characters, etc. You can also visit the sparring area in Roundtable Hold to choose different weapons and items, which will be brought with you into freeplay.

Known Issues

Hopefully will be fixed:
- Everdark Libra sometimes summons the wrong character
- Some environment graphics don't appear in Everdark fights

Probably won't be fixed:
- When exploring Limveld, the overworld is missing all randomized features
- Nightlord-specific overworld variants aren't accessible
- The menu map always shows Roundtable Hold
- The warp menu appears but doesn't work outside of Roundtable Hold
- Switching characters during a fight can do all kinds of weird stuff
- Quitting out while dead causes you to die and respawn once in Roundtable Hold
