Mod Introduction
Changes Kliff's voice to a female voice. This mod is designed to be used alongside mods such as "Playing Kliff as Damiane".
Description
This mod replaces Kliff's voice with a female one. It is designed for use with "Playing as Damiane controlling Kliff" by Crubino and similar mods that alter Kliff's appearance.
- I used an AI model to process all of Kliff's original dialogue. This already seems to work quite well (see video examples). If you notice any missing lines, please let me know!
- I also attempted to swap Kliff's combat and exertion sounds with Damiane's, but it isn't functioning yet. At least it has the positive side effect of silencing Kliff's immersion-breaking audio.
- The mod is currently in early development, so you may encounter AI artifacts, missing audio, and other issues.
- This mod only replaces the English voice files, so it will not function with Korean or Chinese versions.
- Game Version: 1.01.02, tested with the Steam version.
- There are two versions available: one includes the raw mod files for use with Crimson Browser or JSON Mod Manager, and the other contains prebuilt overlay files for manual installation.
Installation Guide
With Crimson Browser & Mod Manager:
1. Install Crimson Browser & Mod Manager.
2. Download "Kliff Female Voice (raw)" from my files and extract it to the "mods" folder inside your Crimson Browser directory.
3. Start Crimson Browser and click on "Mod Manager". You should see my mod in the list on the left.
4. Check if it is activated + combine with other mods to your liking.
5. Click "Build Active Mods". This may take a while.
6. Click "Deploy in Game".
7. Click "Launch Game" or launch the game from Steam.
New - JSON Mod Manager Support:
1. Install JSON Mod Manager.
2. Download Kliff Female Voice (Unprocessed) From my files.
3. Start JSON Mod Manager and drop the .zip archive into the "Drop mods here to install" field in JSON MM. It should then appear in the list of available mods on the left.
4. Select the entry and click the green arrow to activate it. Combine with other mods.
5. Click "Apply Mods". This may take a moment.
6. Click "Start Game" or launch the game through Steam.
Manual/Pre-built Installation:
1. Download Kliff Female Voice ("prebuilt" from my files.
2. Locate your Crimson Desert folder (e.g., ".../Steam/steamapps/common/Crimson Desert").
3. Navigate to the "meta" subfolder and create a backup of the file "0.papgt".
4. Extract the folders "0036" and "meta" from the .zip file into the game's main directory. This will overwrite the original "meta/0.papgt" file.
5. It is possible to install additional mods later, but this is experimental. Expect numerous compatibility issues.
6. Start Game.
Known Issues
- Combat and effort sounds are currently unavailable.
- Only English language is supported.
