Enhanced Flight transforms gliding into genuine flight.

The goal is simple: break free from the constraints of standard gliding and achieve true freedom of movement. You can travel much faster horizontally while gaining precise vertical control to maintain or even increase altitude. This enables smooth, sustained flight without constantly losing height.

What's New in v2.0 (Changes from v1.0)

• Added: Aerial Boost "Tech" (Pre-1.02.00 Feel) – Gain a major boost from Aerial Roll Boost without entering Focus Mode.
• Added: Descend (RT / Ctrl)
• Changed: Vertical is now Ascend + Descend (separate mechanics, separate keybinds).
• Changed: Horizontal boost defaults to HOLD For improved handling. Toggle mode remains accessible via INI.
• Changed: PC defaults updated to match controller-style inputs (Left Shift for Horizontal, Left Alt for Aerial Roll).
• Improved: Flight Detection and Gating - The mod is far less likely to activate during walking, combat hops, backsteps, or mid-combo aerial maneuvers.
• Improved: Horizontal Boost Behavior - Activates immediately (does not require "accelerate first").
• Fixed: Accidental speed boosts applied to ground movement (walking/running should remain unaffected).
  

Regarding the "tech"
Prior to patch 1.02.00, there existed a technique where you could activate Focus mode, perform an aerial boost while focused, then exit Focus mode to trigger a sonic-boom-like burst of speed. Version 2.0 recreates that sensation with a dedicated boost input— No Focus Mode Required.

Mod Features (v2.0)

Ascend (Hold)
While held, your vertical velocity is set to a custom value. This lets you maintain height or ascend instead of falling.

Descend (hold)
While held, you descend at a steady, adjustable speed, allowing you to lose altitude smoothly and maintain full control.

Horizontal Boost (Hold/Toggle)
Increases horizontal movement speed during flight. This significantly boosts travel speed, making long-distance traversal much faster.

Aerial Roll Boost (Press)
Activates when you perform an aerial roll boost while flying. Grants a powerful burst of speed that gradually returns to normal over a customizable duration.

Flight Only
These adjustments apply exclusively to flight with wings deployed, and do not affect walking or standard ground movement.

Live Config Reload
INI changes are applied automatically in real-time (approximately 1 second).

Logging
The mod generates EnhancedFlightByBambozu.log in bin64 for debugging and verification.

Tuning Tips
Adjust the values at your own pace.

• Pushing boost values too high may cause the engine to lag or stutter.
• If you experience a "hard stop" when chaining actions, reduce the AerialRoll BoostValue and/or Duration.

Installation

Option A (Recommended): CDUMM (Crimson Desert Ultimate Mods Manager)
1) Place both files here:
Crimson Desert\bin64\EnhancedFlightByBambozu.asi
Crimson Desert\bin64\EnhancedFlightByBambozu.ini

2) Launch or refresh CDUMM to enable plugin detection.

Notes

• CDUMM can load .asi plugins directly.
• You typically won't need an extra ASI loader.
• Do not stack multiple loaders unless you are certain they are compatible.
  

Option B: Place files directly in bin64 (Requires Ultimate ASI Loader)
1) Place both files here:
Crimson Desert\bin64\EnhancedFlightByBambozu.asi
Crimson Desert\bin64\EnhancedFlightByBambozu.ini

2) Install the ASI loader (version.dll) into bin64

3) Launch the game

Option C: Other Mod Loaders
If you are using a different loader, please refer to its specific instructions.

General rule: the loader must support ASI plugins, and the INI file should stay in the same folder as the ASI.

Recommended Setup (Important)
For the best experience, use this together with an Infinite Stamina Mod. Without it, flight will still be limited by stamina drain.

Compatibility

• Compatible with other ASI plugins and JSON mods.
• Fully reversible by removing the ASI and INI files.
• Tested on Steam. Other platforms are not verified.
• PS5 input functions through Steam Input by default. Native support is not currently available.
  

Uses pattern scanning and will automatically deactivate if signatures become invalid after updates.

Troubleshooting

• If something isn't working, check the EnhancedFlightByBambozu.log file in the bin64 folder.
• If you edit the INI while the game is running, wait about one second for the changes to take effect.
