Description

The Crimson Desert Proper 3rd Person Camera is a finely tuned adjustment designed to deliver a lower, more grounded, and cinematic third-person perspective, inspired by the camera style of Red Dead Redemption 2.

This mod's aim isn't to add a massive preset pack or completely overhaul every camera mode. Instead, it focuses on refining a single, polished setup that enhances the default gameplay camera while preserving the game's built-in distance switching.

This update enhances the camera for smoother gameplay by lowering the viewpoint, softening default movement response, improving horse-mounted camera behavior, and slightly widening the near/first-person field of view. The result is a steadier, more immersive third-person camera that remains natural within Crimson Desert.

Unlike a broader camera overhaul, this is a single curated release built around one clear goal: a proper third-person camera with a strong RDR2-style bias.



Installation Guide

• Download and extract the archive.
• Open your Crimson Desert game directory.
• Drag the included 0010 Copy the folder into the game directory.
• Allow Windows to replace 0010\0.paz If prompted.
  

Default Steam path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crimson Desert

Uninstall:

• Restore your backup copy of 0010\0.pazor
• Use Steam Verify game files Option.

Technical Note

This mod was not made by simply re-uploading an existing camera preset.

Community tools and previous mods were respectfully utilized for research and reference purposes, but the final release has been independently rebalanced and reconstructed based on the live version. playercamerapreset.xml Data inside 0010\0.paz.

Workflow:

• Locating the active archive entry. 0.pamt
• Applying custom XML edits per preset
• Adjusting plaintext and compressed sizes to ensure the final result still fits within the original packed slot.
• Finalizing and securing the payload.
• Verifying the rebuilt archive before release
  

While this mod builds upon the valuable contributions of the community, it offers its own carefully refined camera adjustments and release package.
